Poem about "My Lost City"

Landry
This post was updated on .
Sees the city of New York as full of glamour and restless activity
Stubbornly refuses to look at the reality;
Falling into the dazzling temptations
Believing New York as “even above its own valuation”

Gradually thrown into states of downfall,
trusting alcohol can cure all;
Letting Jack numb the disappointments
While knowingly, it only puts a cloud on his consciousness

But he is still reluctantly hopeful
Loyal to the City that one day it's not all about betrayals

Thank you!

On the site it should say "Tuesday" and not "Thursday" right?
And did you wanted lyrical summaries to both readings?

Re: Poem about "My Lost City" You mean for comments due? I’m giving you guys until Thursday. And no, as far as lyrics go – you only need to do one reading.

Thanks!
Erin
